I’m not just a Master Nutrition Therapist and functional health educator—I’m also a mom of four who’s been through the burnout, brain fog, and endless fatigue. I know how overwhelming it feels, and I know what it takes to get your spark back
But who am I to speak about this?
I’m Kristin Whitaker, NTM, MRWP, BCHN…
and I was the tired mama.
I had 4 kids in 5 years. Between work, church, family, finances, housework, and an inability to say “no,” two things were certain: I was ALWAYS busy and ALWAYS tired. I powered through my days only to wake up more exhausted the next. Meals were bites on the go, Dr Pepper was my “medicine,” and snapping at my kids was a sure sign I was crashing. I felt like I was doing everything but getting nothing done. I lived with chronic pain and burnout was my baseline.
When my kids started developing strange medical issues and food allergies, I poured everything into helping them. After endless doctors and no clear answers, I went back to school for Nutrition Therapy to figure it out myself—adding classes and a second job to an already overwhelming to-do list.
Then something unexpected happened. On a quest to help them, I discovered how to help myself. I learned how the body works, what it needs, and how to troubleshoot when things go wrong. For the first time, I could regulate my energy and pain levels. My to-do list didn’t shrink, but I could tackle it without the brain fog, crashes, or guilt. My rollercoaster moods stabilized. I even had energy to actually play with my kids. It felt amazing. I felt like myself again and could share that me with my family.
With my whole heart I wish I could hand that secret sauce to the burned-out young mama I was—so she could mother, work, and play without the burnout. Since I can’t, I’m doing the next best thing: helping YOU.
